In the first conversation with Tom, the owner of the vacation house we rented in Gold Beach, Oregon in 2008 and 2009, he advised visiting nearby Otter Point. He said it was “spiritual”. Living in San Francisco, with the email moniker “tomcat”, I cynically determined his reaction probably indicated a life that included crystals under the bed and copious amounts of bad weed. Then we visited and I was forced to agree. I would be very sorry not to return to Otter Point one day.
