Sometimes repetition of the familiar is it’s own source of profound comfort. It also heightens the senses to just what is different, what is changing.
The sharp, citrus palette of spring is, in many ways, so not me, but it is energizing and, on certain days, dazzling and glorious. It has been life-affirming at this difficult time.
I make no apologies for the monotony of the titles. The lake through the trees never gets old for me.

Dear Michael
We look at all of your works as they arrive as if by magic.
‘Through the Trees’ is the best I’ve seen of your work and really brings home your skill and your ability to observe.
It feels like we are there with you as you look from your balcony.
Missing you both.
Mike
What an absolute joy.
Thank you!

Thank you so much!! Feeling stupid but this only shows as “Someone”. Mike who?
Dear Michael
Think of Edinburgh and you may remember us.
Mike & Helen
Hope you saw my earlier reply when the penny dropped! Let’s catch-up. Mxx
Agh!!! Just found a way to find you Mike as in Helen and Mike! Hooray – so lovely to hear from you. Must be in touch. Sending much love xxx
I really like that 21st May painting – with the lake in the background and its reversed sky effect it helps light up the trees even more.
Thank you.
