In 2016 Linda Wolk-Simon, former Director and Chief Curator of the Fairfield University Art Museum, Connecticut, broached the idea of a “modest” exhibition of my work. More accurately, she began an “earth-moving” campaign to persuade me that this was a viable idea. Initially, I found the concept very unsettling – and possibly preposterous. As is her track record, she succeeded and the exhibition opened on April 21st 2017 displaying 57 works on paper, 16 oil sketches and numerous sketchbooks.
It had a huge impact on me and I will be forever grateful.
