Returning to Bash Bish Falls in May and June was a much more pleasant experience than the mild madness of our February visit (see Bash Bish Falls, Valentine’s Day).
I had an explorer’s determination to create a large painting on the spot on May 26th. But it was just after Memorial Day and, to discourage crowds during ongoing lockdown, it seemed that every scrap of potential parking had been closed off. I was not happy. Mark, driven by ingenuity or an overwhelming desire to get me out of the car and earshot, discovered a back road. It was a bit of a hike from the falls but all was not lost – yes, that had been the level of hyperbole before parking.
Oh yes, and I have made a video..

After I finished painting on May 26th, Mark volunteered to collect the car and pull up near the service road, which was a much shorter walk. I did the picture of the trail while I was waiting. And I am well aware that there is only one hero in this story…
