Last weekend had perfect autumnal weather. The light on Saturday morning was magical: mist slowly burning off in the sunlight, revealing incredible cloud formations and highlighting the tops of the trees. But I was too slow to organize myself to paint, and it was all over in forty minutes. So on Sunday I was determined to be up in time to try and capture what I was sure would be the same effects.
